Amelia is working with two chemical solutions in her chemistry laboratory. Solution A neutralizes an acidic solution and solution B neutralizes a basic solution. What kind of solutions are solutions A and B?
If you add an acid with a low pH (few protons) to a base with a high pH (many protons), you will get a solution with a moderatie concentration of protons in it. In other words, you will get a pretty neutral solution. Is that much clear?
yep thanks
If you have an acidic solution, does it have a high concentration of protons, or a low concentration of protons?
Acid solution = low concentration of protons = few protons. Basic solution = high concentration of protons = many protons. I'm talking about the acidic solution which A neutralises. Does it have a low concentration of protons, or a high concentration of protons?
