if i add 15g of NH3 to 1000g of water, what will the melting and boiling point changes be of the resulting solution?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you need to calculate trough ebullioscopyc and kryoscopic equations

OpenStudy (anonymous):

huh!???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ΔTb = Kb · bB -> delta Tb = increase of boiling point,Kb -> ebullioscopic constant bB -> molality

OpenStudy (anonymous):

still dont understand?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i believe the melting point would go down and the boiling point would also go down.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont understand how to this!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont understand the formula behind this. but i looked up the melting point of the compound and since it's less it must make the entire solution go down. i then checked it with the melting point of the solution.

i dont know how to get the answers!
