The molar mass of calcium is 40.08, oxygen is 16.0, and hydrogen is 1.01. What is the mass of one mole of calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)2)?

OpenStudy (jfraser):

the formula tells us how many of each kind of piece that calcium hydroxide is made up of. the parenthesis and the number after it tell us to multiply everything inside by 2. So that means, in one mole of calcium hydroxide, you have 1 mole of calcium, 2moles of oxygen, and 2 moles of hydrogen. Add up all those pieces, and what do you get?
