what is the molar mass of Mg(ClO2)2? a: 77.76 g/mole b: 91.76 g/mole c: 127.21 g/mole d: 159.21 g/mole

sam (.sam.):

Do you have a periodic table?

no i left everything at home.

The atomic mass for MG is 24.305 (Look at a the periodic table and fin the atomic mass) So first you have 1 Mg and 2 of both Cl and O. What you want to do is to find the atomic mass for both of these. Atomic mass for: Cl=35.453 Atomic mass for: O=15.9994 What you want to do now is, since you have 2 Cl and 2 O you have to multiply them both; 35.453 x 2 = 70.906 15.9994 x 2 = 31.9988 Now that you have all of them, simply add them all up and see what you get :-) Ex: H2So4= 2x1.008 + 4x116.00 = 98.09 g/mol

I hope that this helps :-)

Thanks it did (:
