During the first 30 minutes of flight, a jet climbs from ground level to an altitude of about 43,000 ft. What is the jet's rate of change in altitude during this time? Round your answer to the nearest hundred.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The change in altitude would simply be the units of distance, feet in this case, divided by the units of time as this constitutes a rate of change. 43,000 ft over 30 minutes= 1433.33 ft/min or 23.88 ft/sec.
