A point moving in a straight line traversed half the distance moving with velocity v0. The remaining part of the distance was covered with velocity v1 for half the time and for velocity v2 for other half time. Find the mean velocity of the pont averaged over the time of motion.

Roses are red. I have a phone. Nobody calls. Forever alone...

Why did I just say that oh my god

Ask @dumbkids

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lets walk through this - average velocity is total distance / total time average of v0 + v1 + v3 or total distance / total time v0 = 0.5 distance/ a time v1 = b distance / x time v2 = c distance / x time b + c = 0.5 total time = a + x + x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Simply finding the average. v[avg] = v[0]/2 + v[1]/4 + v[2]/4.

@AJ17, you don't know v0 was for half the time. the average velocity is total distance / total time.
