\[(-27)^-2/3\]To simplify this expression realize the following:\[x^{\frac ab} = \sqrt[b]{x^a}\]\[x^{-a}=\frac{1}{x^a}\]
We can start to work through this expression.\[(-27)^{-\frac 23}=[(-1)^{-\frac 13}]^2[(27)^{-\frac 13}]^2\]Let's look at just the second term first.\[[(27)^{-\frac 13}]^2=\left(\frac{1}{27^{\frac 13}} \right)^2=\left(\frac{1}{\sqrt[3]{27}}\right)^2=\left( \frac 13 \right)^2=\frac19\]Now I am not entirely sure about the other part.
thanks can you solve this one for me no need to show work i would apreciate it\[(-32)_ {5}^{-3}\]
What is the 5? Is that a subscript?
