The solubility of arsenic sulphide is x mole/litre. The Ksp of arsenic sulphide is: a)4x^3 b)27x^4 c)36x^5 d)108x^5 I need someone to explain the solution. what i get is 4x^3 but the answer is 108x^5
I found my mistake. I was writing wrong formula for Arsenic Sulfide. just got to know, its As2S3... And i got the correct answer.. :) But i always find it difficult remembering those formulas.. I get confused between Sulfide, sulfite, sulfate and many similar terms.. Also in nitrites, nitrates and all.. Can you suggest me some ways to remember them?
-ide is ALWAYS monatomic anion: oxide O2- sulfide S2- fluoride F- chloride Cl- Bromide Br- iodide I- per...ate has more oxygen than -ate, has more oxygen than -ite
... and -ite has more oxygen that hypo...ite.
