True or false? explain

OpenStudy (wolfboy):

The number of permutations of two items from a data set is always two times the number of combinations when taking two objects at a time from the same data set. .

D: I dunno this yet. Sorry.

OpenStudy (wolfboy):

I know its true but i cant remember why.

Dpanic likes tarts.

OpenStudy (wolfboy):

hmmmm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Combinations: n! / r!*(n-r)! r is number of things you're choosing and n is total possible number of things to choose from. And of course...order doesn't matter Permutation: n! / (n-r)! Order does matter...you have less options to choose after each iteration

OpenStudy (wolfboy):

thank you and can you help with one more?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So just throw in your n and r and walk through it

OpenStudy (wolfboy):

No you answered the question bu i have one more

OpenStudy (wolfboy):
