\[ \frac{-14x^3}{x^3-5x^4} \]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That cannot be solved, but it can be simplified, are you trying to simplify it? You can pull an \(x^3\) out of the denominator and cancel it with the \(x^3\) in the numerator.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah, dat is wat im trying 2 do..lol..srry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so, what is my final answer...i have trouble wit these kind of things

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, what do you get when you factor an \(x^3\) out of the denominator?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they cancle out?

OpenStudy (compassionate):

\[-14^2/x^2 - 5x^4 \] Remember that when you have powers in the denominator and numerator, they will subtract from each other in order to simplify. In this equation the dominate power x-to the fourth remains. The equation simplifies to: \[14/1-5x\] The equation above reads: Negative 14 over one-minus five- times x.
