A 20 gram piece of metal is added to a sample of 100 grams of water inside a calorimeter. If the metal is at a temperature of 125° Celsius and the water is at 20° Celsius, which of the following best describes what will occur inside the calorimeter?

could you please write the options

OpenStudy (btaylor):

The answer is whichever option is closest to this: The heat energy from the metal is transferred to the water. After the transfer is complete, an equilibrium temperature is reached. The water will be warmer, and the metal will be cooler than originally. If you need to calculate the final temp: (mass of water)(specific heat of water)(temp change of water)=(mass of metal)(specific heat of metal)(temp change of metal). Does this answer the question?
