Ok, so this is what you do. The problem is asking for the value of \[p + q\]. So, obviously you must find the value. In this case, p is the value of the x coordinate of the center of the circle and q is the value of the y coordinate of the center of the circle. You can see from the attached image that the center of the circle is 1,3. So, p, q = 1,3. Thus p + q = 4.
