Find the rectangular coordinates of each point. 1.(2,3pi/4) 2. (-4,7pi/6) 3.(2/3,-2pi/3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(rcos(ang),rsin(ang))

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@SantanaG Can you follow the instruction?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I dont know how

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1. ( a, bi ) = ( -√2, √2) Since a = 2 cos ( 3π/4) b = 2 sin ( 3π/4)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i just do that for the rest also?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

= -√2 + √2 i

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, just apply @A.Avinash_Goutham's instruction :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thanks :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Chlorophyll why is it (a,bi) instead of (a,b)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Because you're working with COMPLEX number! The equation is the relationship between polar and rectangular form of complex number :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok thank you :D
