domain restriction number 1: \[\frac{1}{f(x)}\] when you have an x in the denominator...to find the restriction..you just equate it to 0

in your problem 3x^3 is the denominator...it has an x so equate it to 0 3x^3 = 0 x^3 = 0 x = 0 <---this is the domain restriction which means the graph is true for all values of x EXCEPT x = 0

5x^2 - 4x = x(5x - 4)

since there's an x in the numerator AND denominator you can cancel
