What is the rang for the function : F(x)=x^2+4x ? Hint ; Find the Vertix .

OpenStudy (alexwee123):

the vertex would count as the absolute minimum of the function

OpenStudy (alexwee123):

so it would be [y,infinity)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can get the range from the vertex of this parabola... since this is a parabola that opens upwards, it has a minimum value... the vertex occurs at -b/(2a) = -2. plugging this into F, F(2)=(-2)^2 + 4*(-2) = -4. so (-2, -4) is your vertex. so your range is [-4, infinity)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*F(-2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so Will it be all real number s

OpenStudy (alexwee123):

no it wouldnt...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A. y </equal to -4 B. y >/equal to -4 c . y >/equal to 4 D. all real numbers

@dpaInc / @alexwee123 Help

OpenStudy (alexwee123):

did you find the vertex yet?
