Use row reduction on the corresponding augmented matrix. \[ \left[\begin{array}{ccc|c} 2 & 3 & -1 & 1 \\ 3 & 1 & 2 & 12 \\ 1 & 2 & -3 & -5 \end{array}\right] \]In other words, swap rows, multiply rows by constants, and subtract one row from another as you please until you have an identity matrix on the left.
