An upright cylindrical tank with radius 7 m is being filled with water at a rate of 2 cubic meters/min. How fast is the height of the water increasing? (Round the answer to four decimal places.)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The volume of the water is given by \(V=bh\) where \(h\) is the depth of the water and \(b\) is the base area. Taking the time derivatives of both sides gives us the related rates, Note that \(b\) is constant in this case.\[\frac{dV}{dt}=b\frac{dh}{dt}\]Now use this formula to evaluate.
