a stone attached on a rope. That stone performs a uniform circular motion with a radius of 1 ~ m The stone makes one revolution per second. The average acceleration of the stone during 1/4 revolution is?

@experimentX (:

OpenStudy (experimentx):

i hope it's horizontal

OpenStudy (experimentx):

the centripetal acceleration is \( \large \frac{v^2}{r}\) and it is constant since your angular velocity is constant

OpenStudy (experimentx):

v - linear velocity \( \omega \) - angular velocity r - radius ---------------------- \( v =\omega r\) ---------------------- and \[ \omega = \frac{2\pi}{T}\] T is time period, and in your case 1

OpenStudy (experimentx):

using above relation find v^2/r

OpenStudy (experimentx):

or simply \( \omega^2 r\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you!^^
