Which statement is accurate regarding pH? A. The pH of a solution can be derived from [H+]. B. pH measures the activity of the pOH. C. pH measures the concentration of hydroxide. D. pH is measured on the pOH scale. Which statement is true about a solution that has a pH of 12? A. It is abnormal. B. It is acidic. C. It is alkaline. D. It is neutral. I really need help with this! thankyou(:

Technically all of the answers for the first question are true. pH is just the -log of the concentration of hydrogen in solution. However if you know the pH you also know the pOH because pH+pOH=14. So an example of how D might be considered a right answer is that a pH of 3 corresponds to a pOH of 11, and they mean the exact same thing. But don't let me confuse you, pH is most directly associated with the acidity (hydrogen) and pOH is associated with the basicity (OH). A lower pH means more acidic and a higher pH means basic while 7 is neutral. On the pH scale we say that 1 is the most acidic, 7 is neutral, and 14 is basic. Basic and alkaline mean the same thing.
