how many moles of magnesium oxide are formed when 4 moles of magnesium react with oxygen? this is the formula for the reaction: 2Mg+O2 -> 2MgO

The ratio of magnesium oxide (mgO) to magnesium (Mg) is 2:1
sorry, i meant Mg to MgO is 2:2 which is 1:1
so if you used 4 moles of Mg, then the ratio is one to one, so you also produce 1 mole of MgO
