Can anyone help me with proofs.?
yeah sure why not....
Statements Justifications In triangles APD and BPC; DP = PC Sides of equilateral triangle DPC are equal In triangles APD and BPC; AD = BC Sides of square ABCD are equal In triangles APD and BPC; angle ADP = angle BCP Angle ADC = angle BCD = 90° so angle ADP = angle BCP = 60° Triangles APD and BPC are congruent SAS postulate
whats the error
i dont get it what do u want me to prove and what is given?
oh ok...wait...
first justification,is it already given that DPC is an equilateral triangle?
no
2nd justification is it already given that ABCD is a square?
You know, i don't really find anything wrong with your justification!
3rd justification,is it already given that Angle ADP and Angle BCP are of measure 90 degrees?
He writes the measure of angles ADP and BCP as 60° instead of 45°. He uses the SAS postulate instead of AAS postulate to prove the triangles congruent. He writes the measure of angles ADP and BCP as 60° instead of 30°. He uses the SAS postulate instead of SSS postulate to prove the triangles congruent.
what/who is 'he'?
are these options?
yes
is it given that ABCD is a square?
im pretty sure thats known
ok then the justification 3 is wrong as angle ADP,angle BCP cant be 90 as ADC is 90 and angle PDC is 60 so angle ADP is 30 similarly BCP is also 30
He writes the measure of angles ADP and BCP as 60° instead of 30°.but u used 90 so idk
