For free energy changes: \[\Delta G = \Delta H - T \Delta S\] or \[\Delta G = U - T \Delta S - PV \] (given pressure and volume of the reaction vessel. But understand the a negative Delta G means spontaneous reaction while a positive delta G needs an input of energy to carry out the reaction. So does water boil spontaneously to form steam?
