first factor the denominator and then find a common denominator

OpenStudy (valpey):

\[\frac{x-7}{2x-12}+\frac{6}{x^2-36} = \frac{x-7}{2(x-6)}+\frac{6}{(x-6)(x+6)}\]\] \[\frac{(x-7)(x+6)}{2(x-6)(x+6)}+\frac{2*6}{2(x-6)(x+6)}\]

OpenStudy (valpey):

Follow me? You can now add the numerators and see if you can't work it down from there.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

from what you said I got the answer : 6(x-7) / x-6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(x-7)(x+6)+12 numerator x^2-x-30 x^2-6x+5x-30 x(x-6)+5(x-6) (x+5)(x-6) seems like you are wrong *-*. tell us how you got that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I added both things since they had the same denominator then I got rid of (x+6) since both the numerator and denominator had it so i had 12(x-7) / 2(x-6) I simplified the 2's getting 6(x-7)/ x-6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1341986046109:dw| first, it's + 12, so you can't get rid of (x+6) and 2 like that, you will have to distribute (x-7)(x+6) + 12 and then factor again. i already did these above if you wanna check
