not quite. when you have an equation of the form y=mx+b...the "m" is the slope. what is "m" here?

you have to plug in your known slope and the known point the line passes through (2,2) into the slope-intercept form

so where ever i see x i put 2 and where i see Y i put 2

not quite. here's a way to look at it. slope is a ratio which tells you, given two points on the line, how much the line "rises" divided by how much the line "runs". slope equals "rise" divided by "run". Now we know the slope and one point on the line. It's slope must be:\[m=\frac{y-2}{x-2}=-2\]where (x,y) is any other (unknown) point on the line.
