FeBr2 what is the oxidation of Bromine?
how would i know? o_0
well for one the group number helps you figure out the charge
the charge of Br is -1
alright and you have 2 , so -2 charge.. if you name Fe oxidation as x x-2=0

oh so it's 2 and -2 ?
2 and -1
ehh wtf.. o_0
you just the oxidation of Bromine not \[Br_2\]
\[br_2\] charge is -2 where as \[Br\]has a -1

i see..
what about COH2 ?
i know O = -2 charge, and H = -1 charge
alright so you know O=-2 and H=-1 but you have 2 H's so therefore you have a -2 charge
the charge of C =x x-2-2=0
