Calculus Question: If f(x)=x^5 +x, where is f increasing? Graphing this I can see that f>0 are all positive values and also the derivative graph f'(x)=5x^4+1 also shows that all values are positive for f>0. Is it sufficient to say what I have said above as an answer? or am I missing something?

Using first derivative is better i think note that \(f'(x)=5x^4+1>0\) for all \(x\) in \(R\) so \(f\) increasing everwhere

and no problem with what u did i think thats a typo where u wrote f'(x)=5x^4+1 also shows that all values are positive for f>0 f or f' ?
