y > x + 2 y > 4 + 2 ... Replace x with 4 (since x = 4) 3 > 4 + 2 ... Replace y with 3 (since y = 3) 3 > 6 Now ask yourself: is that last inequality true. If so, then it's a solution. If not, then it's not a solution.
