How do you balance this oxidation-reduction reaction in an acid solution HCl + H2C2O4 = MnO2(s) ---> MnCl2 (s) + CO2(g) + H2O

ok in solving any redox reaction you start by writing oxidation states above the compound... example: +1 -1 HCl and when you done that now you can see which atoms in which compounds change their oxidation state. now when you see that you also see what amount of electrons each of those atoms release or gain. now all you need to do is to multiply electrons so you got same amount of electrons released and gained by all atoms which change oxidation state.... i would draw it to you but when i press draw nothing happen... :(
