How many photons are produced in a laser pulse of 0.165 J at 695 nm?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

did they give you any equations to work with? I don't feel like looking them up.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but i'm guessing you will have to figure out the energy of the proton and divide .165/x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya i did that, but it still wrong.. hold on let me get the equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

E=hc/λ

OpenStudy (anonymous):

h=6.626x10^-34 c= 3x10^8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and the frequency is in nanometer but it should be in meter so i converted 695nm -> m = 6.95x10^-7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

my final answer is 5.76x10^31
