okay well to simplify we must have common denominators :)
\[({x-3\over x-3}~~\times{x\over x-3}~~)-{5x-1\over x^{2}-6x+9}\]\[{x^2-3x\over x^2-6x+9}~~~~~-{5x-1\over x^{2}-6x+9}\]now simplify the numerators\[{x^2-8x-1\over x^{2}-6x+9}\]

So the common denominator is x^2-6x+9?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yup :)

Would the final answer be x^2-2x-1 over (x-3)^2
OpenStudy (anonymous):
i think your add wrong..the middle term on the numerator should be -8x not -2x ...check again :)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
you're adding*
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Oh, I was thinking the 5x was positive, now I understand, Thanks! ^_^
OpenStudy (anonymous):
anytime! :D

you could factor the fraction but it wouldnt get you anywhere so yup thats your final answer! :)
