|6 - (3/x)| < 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[-1<6-\frac{3}{x}<1\] is a start

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then you need so solve two inequalities \[-1<\frac{6x-3}{x}\] and \[\frac{6x-3}{x}<1\] or \[0<\frac{6x-3}{x}+1\]and \[\frac{6x-3}{x}-1<0\]

thank you! simple question i forgot how to do : )

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yw it is still a pain because you have to solve \[0<\frac{7x-3}{x}\]and also \[\frac{5x-3}{x}<0\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i get (3/7) < x < (3/5). does that seem right?
