Is my solution correct ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

[2 + sqrt(-12)] * [3 + sqrt(-27)] = [2 + sqrt(-1*12)] * [3 + sqrt(-1*27)] = [2 + sqrt(12)*sqrt(-1)] * [3 + sqrt(27)*sqrt(-1)] = [2 + sqrt(12)i] * [3 + sqrt(27)i] = [2*3] + [sqrt(12)i*3] + [2*sqrt(27)i] + [sqrt(12)i*sqrt(27)i] = [6] + [6sqrt(3)i] + [6sqrt(3)i] + [sqrt(324)*i^2] = [6] + [12sqrt(3)i] – [18] = 12sqrt(3)i - 12

you are 100% correct, nice work

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Of course, you can also write it as -12 + 12sqrt(3)i, but that's basically the same thing (it's just in a+bi form)

@jim_thompson5910 Thanks for confirming that solution is correct.........☺

you're welcome
