Help! Find a subset of vectors V1=(1,-2,0,3), V2=( 2,-5,-3,6), V3=(-1,4,6,-3), V4=(2,-1,4,-7) and V5=(2,-8,-7,19) that forms a basis for the space spanned by these vectors.

OpenStudy (turingtest):

put them in a matrix and row-reduce each row after elimination is a basis vector

OpenStudy (turingtest):

at least one row should eliminate completely to the zero vector

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got one row that is completely eliminated to the zero vector

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now what do i do?

OpenStudy (turingtest):

what about the other remaining vectors? what do you get when they are completely reduced?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1 0 -6 3 0 1 3 0 0 0 5 -13 0 0 0 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i don' know if this is right. i'm confused at the moment.
