The measures of the angles of a triangle can be represented by the expressions (2x), (3x-20), and (3x). What are the measures of the three angles? a) 20, 30, 130 b) 36, 72, 72 c) 40, 60, 80 d) 50, 55, 75

can you attach a diagram of the triangle please?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There is no image of the diagram :/ thats why i dont get it either.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can use the fact that the sum of the angles in any triangle is 180 degrees so you'd have the equation: \(\large (2x)+(3x-20)+(3x)=180 \) solve for x then plug that value in back to the expressions for the angles of the triangle.

OpenStudy (ghazi):

sum of three angles in a triangle is 180 degrees

thanks
