I need to find two solutions to this differential equation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dy/dx=1-2y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is a separable differential equation...have u tried it yet?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I can only find one, I just found y = (1-Ae^(-2x))/2 where A = e^2c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

SOmehow the solutions say the other solution is (Ae^(-2x) + 1 )/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But I cannot see how they got that

OpenStudy (turingtest):

are you given multiple initial conditions?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am given no initial conditions

OpenStudy (turingtest):

oh but you already have a constant... nvmd

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[dy/(1-2y)=dx\] \[\sqrt{1-2y}=Ce ^{x}\] \[1-2y = \pm Ce ^{x}\]

OpenStudy (turingtest):

I mean remember absolute value with\[\int\frac{du}u=\ln|u|+C\] :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh Yeah I get you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks

OpenStudy (turingtest):

welcome!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that comes out nicely from the square root anyway

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks Myko
