when it comes to double bonds, you want to number the carbons so that you get the longest chain that includes the double bond, and so that it gets the lowest number possible. In this case, it seems to me like numbering right to left gets you a 5-carbon chain, with the double bond at the #2 carbon. 5-carbon chain makes it a pent- double bond makes it an -ene location of the double bond makes it pent-2-ene methyl group at #3 makes it 3-methyl-pent-2-ene. Whether it is cis- or trans- depends on having proper geometry around the #3 carbon, which this is lacking.
