OpenStudy (honeymonster):

simplify this fraction..fraction in replies

OpenStudy (honeymonster):

\[\frac{ x ^{2}-x ^{3} }{ x ^{2} }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You can take common factor x^2 on both sides. So \[\frac{ x^2( 1 - x) }{ x^2(1) }\] then you simplify in both sides and you end up with \[1-x\]

OpenStudy (honeymonster):

thank you :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you are welcome

OpenStudy (honeymonster):

how about this one\[\frac{ 2x ^{2}+x }{ x }\] ???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's the same idea, you take common factor x and then \[ \frac{ x(2x + 1) }{ x }\] then you simplify again and get \[2x +1\]

OpenStudy (honeymonster):

thank you :)
