Write equation for ionisation of weak base KF

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When do you do the h2o over the arrow?

OpenStudy (vincent-lyon.fr):

In the compound KF, the weak base is actually the fluoride ion \(F^-\) The equation goes: \(F^-+H_2O \rightarrow HF+OH^-\)

Thanks, when is it +h20, and when is it an arrow with an h2o on top?

OpenStudy (vincent-lyon.fr):

For instance, when water is the agent that triggers or helps the reaction without being a reactant. For instance, when potassium fluoride undergoes dissociation: \( \large KF_{(s)} \longrightarrow K^+_{(aq)} + F^-_{(aq)} \) you can write \(H_2O\) above the arrow (I do not know the LaTeX command enabling this).

got it. thankyou so much :)
