What is the difference between –OH and OH-

Looking at it as if it were a skeletal structure, the first one would be a single bond connected to the oxygen with a hydrogen connected to that oxygen. The second one would mean that the single bond is attached to the hydrogen with the oxygen attached to the hydrogen. I wouldn't really be able to think of a case where OH- will occur though...
