Robert has 4 grams of a substance and Jill has 10 grams of the same substance. Which of the following statements is true? a. Jill's sample will boil at a higher temperature than Robert's sample. b. Jill's sample will melt at a lower temperature than Robert's sample. c. Jill's sample will weigh more than Robert's sample. d. Jill's sample will be denser than Robert's sample. ***super confused!! Please explain!! Thanks!! :D
hi!! thanks for coming ya'll!! :) I don't get this AT ALL. :(
c. Jill's sample will weigh more than Robert's sample.
oh hahhaa i just realized that rhymes lol... could you please explain??? :)
Boiling or meting temp will be the same for both since the material is same both samples will have the same density
The answer is C
more mass means more weight
So the answer is C it will weigh more??? because of what you all said before??
yes!
lol it rhymes again hahaa
The sample with the higher mass will weigh more weight= gravitational acceleration * mass since gravitational acceleration will be same for both, the weight will be higher for the sample with more mass
cool!! thanks sooooo much!!! :) Ima give @PaxPolaris a medal since @PaxPolaris answered first but can someone please five @ash2326 and @jessicasapimp a medal too? Cuz they helped a lot as well :) thanks!!! :)
and it only lets me give one medal,,, which is weiirrdddd :(
boiling temperature is a intensive property of the substance (ie it does not depend of the amount ) mass is an extensive property (it does depend on the amount )
