OpenStudy (cwtan):

Which of the following particles most easily penetrate the nucleus of an atom? A. Proton B. Nucleus C. alpha particle D. Deutron

OpenStudy (ghazi):

Neutron can easily penetrate nucleus...because they are not repelled by electromagnetic field of nucleus. I think option B should be neutron rather than nucleus...because nucleus itself has to be penetrated .

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

to penetrate the nucleus the particle must over come the repulsion of positive chemical charges

OpenStudy (maheshmeghwal9):

@UnkleRhaukus @ghazi are right 100% only neutron has the capability to overcome the force of repulsion:D
