Help with this integral

\[\int\limits_{x=1}^{x=6} 12x^{3} - 9x^{2} + 2dx\]

I just don't understand why 2 changes to 2x

because integration is the antiderivative. the derivative of 2x=2 thus the anti-derivative of 2=2x

@BaldwinC if an integral says \[\int\limits_{3}^{0}\] rather than \[\int\limits_{0}^{3}\] does it matter?

yes! when you swap the upper and lower bound, it becomes the NEGATION! \[\int\limits_{0}^{3} = -[\int\limits_{3}^{0}]\]

What is the Negation?!
