An object moving with uniform acceleration has a velocity of 14.0 cm/s in the positive x direction when its x coordinate is 3.09 cm. If its x coordinate 2.45 s later is −5.00 cm, what is its acceleration?

so you have \[v_1 = 14.0 \; cm/s\] \[x_1 = 3.09 \; cm\] \[x_2 = -5.00 \; cm\] \[t = 2.45 \; s\]
looks like you have to use the formula \[x_2 - x_1 = v_1 t + \frac{at^2}2\]
