do you need the volume of 12% solution to get 4,5 ml solution of certain concentration? if so equation is easy: c1V1=c2V2 where index 1 is for concentrated solution and index 2 is for diluted solution...

ok lets try again... you need to calculate what amount of 12% solution of propyl alcohol you need to take to get 4,5 ml of propyl alcohol, right? now only data you are missing is what concentration is that 4,5 ml of propyl alcohol, is it 50 % or 75% or 20 %??? you are going from 12% to what percent?! do you dilute it to 5% or concentrate it to 20%? do you get my question?
