you can tell which kind of lead is used, if you remember that PO4 is always a -3 ion. The total of all the different charges in a molecule have to add up to zero. The formula tells you there are 2 phosphates, for a total of -6 charge (-3 each). There are 3 lead ions. In order for the lead ions to total +6, each one has to be +2. That tells you it's lead (II) phosphate, rather than lead (IV) phosphate or any other "flavor" of lead
