Part I: Density of Unknown Liquid 1. Calculate the mass of the liquid for each trial.  Trial 1: 26  Trial 2: 25.5  Trial 3: 25.5 2. Calculate the density of the unknown liquid for each trial.  Trial 1  Trial 2  Trial 3 What do I do to find the density?

Part I: Density of Unknown Liquid 1. Calculate the mass of the liquid for each trial. ?? how do you calculate the mass of the liquid ...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (paxpolaris):

you can't just keep the liquid directly on a scale ... it would flow off... you need to keep it in a container ... like the cylinder ... so, to find the mass of just the liquid: you have to find the mass of the cylinder with the liquid in it... and subtract the mass of the empty cylinder.

OpenStudy (paxpolaris):

after that: \[\large density = {mass \over volume}\]
