Help this limit...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[C _{a}=\lim_{k \rightarrow \infty} \frac{ C _{a0} }{ 1+ \frac{ kV }{ \upsilon } }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k is the reaction constant. V is the volume of the tank. episilon is the flowrate of the input and output stream.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think the answer is 0??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know as the reaction constant increases, epsilon must also increase because the volume of the tank is finite. I think they are proportional.

hartnn (hartnn):

as denominator is tending to infinity, limit is tending to 0, so YES.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, thanks. I felt like I might have been over thinking it a bit

hartnn (hartnn):

oh, u were...as for solving limits as mathematician, just put k=infinity, u get limit = 0...
