the limit as x approaches 3 of what function equals 2 where f(3) does not exist

well a quadratic divided by a linear function will fit the bill.. something like \[\lim_{x \rightarrow 3} \frac{x^2 -4x + 3}{x - 3}\] if you fractorise the quadratic you'll find that a common factor will occur
