(y-8)(y+8) multiply
once again its been a while ive done this just need to refresh and it would be better if someone showed me the steps so i dont mess up
To multiply this, we will use the FOIL method :) Multiply the first numbers of each parenthesis, the outside numbers of each parenthesis, the inner numbers of both parenthesis, and the last numbers of the each parenthesis. |dw:1348014504002:dw|
you deserve to be a Ambassador actually put in some effort helping others thanks man!
No problem :) Whenever I can help I'll try my best :)
Did you get it? :)
yes I totally had forgotten about foil aha im like i knew theirs something i gotta do just cant recall thanks bro
K that's good :) & no prob. anytime :)
could you help with just one more
ill try to make the graph or foil and tell me if im correct?
I can try my best to help you :)
(5x+2)(3x-1)
so first we multiply 5x*3x
outter: 5x*-1
inner:2*3x
last: 2*-1
right?
Yep :)
so I get like the expression and then combine liek terms right
could you help me with that
Sure :)
So we got our first part, 5x*3x. We multiply the coefficients, which gives us 15, and then we add the exponents x^1+x^1=x^2. That means our first part is 15x^2. Now for the 2nd part we have, 5x*-1, and all we do here is multiply the numbers as well, so we get -5x. Now we got the 3rd part, 2*3x. All we do here is multiply the numbers and that then gives us 6x. Finally we have the last part 2*-1, which is just -2. So now we have 15x^2-5x+6x-2, which when you combine -5x & 6x, gives you 15x^2+x-2 :)
fing best lol.
my fault for the language but it's needed when it should lol.
lol :) Do you need help with anything else that I can try to help you with? :)
yes one last aha I didint even look at this question which was thouger then the one im doign right now
(x^2-2x+1)(x-1)
exponents and fractions were always a no no for me lol
Even though FOIL is what everyone else uses, I like solving them like this : |dw:1348015657898:dw| On the top is the first parenthesis set, the left the 2nd just multiply in the middle :) Tell me if you get it.
And then we have x^3-x^2-2x^2+2x+x-1. We can combine -x^2-2x^2 & that gives us -3x^2. Also, 2x+x=3x. So now we have x^3-3x^2+3x-1 as our answer :)
on the left is the 2nd parenthesis part, and in the multiplication i did in which I got the answer :)*
wow the graph actually is so much easiar i remember there used to be a way to box multiply numbers but this makes solving these expressions easy too thanks bro you deserve the best aha
lol thx & yeah just use that for your other problems bc it's so much simpler & easier :D
yup thanks man!
Thx for fanning me :) And hey anytime I'm on and you need help, just msg me & I'll try my best to help you :)
props man props nothing more could I give aha
how old are you if you dont mind?
Lol I don't mind, and I'm 14, turning 15 next January :)
