Okay, wonderful. So, here it is: Find the values of x satisfying the given conditions. y1 = 2x/x+3, y2 = 3/x+5 and y1 + y2 = 1.

2x/(x+3) + 3/(x+5) = 1 get a common denominator 2x(x+5)/((x+5)(x+3) + 3(x+3)/(x+5)(x+3) =1 simplify 2x(x+5)+3(x+5)/(x+5)(x+3) = 1 distribute and simplify: 2x^2+13x+15/x^2+8x+15 =1

2x^2+13x+15=x^2+8x+15 subtract 15 from both sides and set equal to zero: x^2+5x=0 x(x+5)=0 x=0, -5
